FX Blinds Measuring Guide
Measuring your window for your new blind couldn't be easier when you follow our simple guidlines. Measurements should
be given in centimeters and all that is required is a steel tape measure.
Decide whether you would like the blind to fit inside or outside of the window recess. See diagrams A and B
below, then follow the instructions given.
Blinds Inside The Window Recess

No windows are perfectly straight and square so to ensure a perfect fit three measurements should be taken for both
the width and the drop.
Record the smallest measurements for your width and drop to the nearest centimeter. We will automatically deduct a
sufficent amount from these measurements to ensure sufficient clearance for the correct operation of your chosen blind

Blinds Outside The Window Recess

There are no hard and fast rules about the size of overhang for blinds that fit outside of the window recess but as a
general rule of thumb 5cm will be sufficient.
Measure the width and drop, remembering to add the overhang to both top and bottom and to both sides then record these
measurements in centimeters. If your window is particularly uneven measure both sides and top and bottom
